Tournament Rules and Regulations for GameAcon

Eligibility:

1. • Tournaments are open to all GameACon attendees with a valid "Paid", weekend event badge. However, individuals with vendor, artist, cosplayer, or other operational passes must purchase a regular weekend pass to qualify for tournament participation.

   • The owners and organizers of GameACon reserve the right to allow or disallow any participant at their discretion. This includes making exceptions for vendors, artists, cosplayers, celebrities, or other event providers on a case-by-case basis.

2. Registration:

   • Participants must register for tournaments in advance through the official GameACon website or at designated on-site registration booths.

   • Registration deadlines will be strictly enforced. No late entries will be accepted.

3. Conduct:

   • Participants are expected to maintain a high standard of sportsmanship and professionalism.

   • Any form of cheating, harassment, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate disqualification and potential removal from the event.

4. Equipment:

   • Players are responsible for bringing their own controllers, headsets, and any other necessary equipment.

   • GameACon will provide the gaming consoles and games. Participants must use the provided equipment unless otherwise specified.

5. Match Rules:

   • Each tournament will have specific rules regarding match format, time limits, and scoring. These will be provided at the time of registration and must be adhered to strictly.

   • Any disputes during matches will be resolved by the appointed tournament referees. All decisions are final.

6. Prizes:​

   • Prizes must be collected on-site. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited.

7. Health and Safety:

   • Participants must adhere to all health and safety guidelines set forth by GameACon, the Palm Springs Convention Center, and local health authorities.

   • Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disqualification.

8. Changes and Cancellations:

   • GameACon reserves the right to make changes to the tournament schedule, rules, or format as necessary.

   • In the event of a cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible and refunded any applicable registration fees.
