Tournament Rules and Regulations – Gameacon Coachella Valley 2025

October 11–12, 2025 – The Shops at Palm Desert

Eligibility

Game tournaments are open to all attendees with a valid Paid Weekend Badge to Gameacon Coachella Valley.
Individuals with vendor, artist, cosplayer, or staff passes must also purchase a weekend badge if they wish to compete in any tournament.

The Gameacon team reserves the right to approve or deny any participant’s eligibility at its discretion. Exceptions for vendors, artists, cosplayers, or celebrity guests may be made on a case-by-case basis.

Registration

• Tournament registration must be completed either in advance on the official Gameacon website or at designated registration areas during the event.

• Deadlines will be strictly enforced. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.

• Some tournaments may have limited spots—first come, first served.

Player Conduct

• All participants are expected to display good sportsmanship, respect, and professionalism at all times.

• Cheating, harassment, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to removal from the event without refund.

Equipment

• Players must bring their own controllers, headsets, and personal peripherals, unless specified otherwise.

• Gameacon will supply all consoles, monitors, and games required for tournament play.

• Use of external hardware (modded controllers, turbo functions, etc.) is not permitted unless approved in advance.

Match Rules

• Each tournament will have its own set of rules, match formats, time limits, and scoring systems. These will be shared during registration and must be followed without exception.

• Tournament officials will resolve any in-game disputes. All decisions by referees are final and binding.

Prizes

• All prizes must be claimed in person before the end of the event. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited.

• Winners may be required to complete a short prize form or provide valid ID.

Health & Safety

• Participants must follow all health and safety guidelines as outlined by Gameacon, The Shops at Palm Desert, and local health authorities.

• Anyone not complying with these guidelines may be removed from competition and/or the event.

Changes & Cancellations

• Gameacon reserves the right to modify tournament rules, schedules, or formats at any time based on attendance, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

• In the event of a tournament cancellation, participants will be notified promptly and refunded any applicable tournament entry fees.
