GameACon Developer, Creator & Industry Agreement & Policies (2026)

By purchasing a Hybrid Showcase Space, Steam Digital Listing, or Industry Professional Pass for GameACon, October 17–18, 2026 at The Shops at Palm Desert, you agree to the following terms:

I. MASTER POLICY — Applies to ALL Registrants

All Sales Are Final: No refunds will be issued due to attendance, weather, personal emergencies, sales performance, lack of results, or other individual circumstances.

Payment Disputes: By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted these terms. Any billing concern or payment dispute should first be brought directly to GameACon so we have an opportunity to resolve the matter.

No Guarantees: GameACon does not guarantee attendance, sales, revenue, specific floor placement, downloads, wishlists, leads, contacts, or digital traffic. Participants are responsible for their own performance and results.

Transfers: Registration may be transferred to another approved participant only with written approval from GameACon no later than four weeks before the event. Registrations may not be resold for profit.

Force Majeure: If the event is canceled or materially affected by circumstances beyond GameACon’s reasonable control, GameACon may provide a credit toward a future event at its discretion.

Conduct & Safety: Professional and family-friendly behavior is required. Harassment, unsafe conduct, or inappropriate merchandise may result in immediate removal without refund. GameACon and the venue are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

II. FOR HYBRID SHOWCASE PARTICIPANTS ($289)

Space & BYO Setup: Registration includes designated floor space. This is a “Bring Your Own” setup. Participants must provide their own tables, chairs, signage, displays, and other setup materials unless otherwise stated. All setups must remain within the assigned footprint and may not obstruct aisles, exits, or required access areas.

Attendance: Participants must be present Saturday 11 AM–8 PM and Sunday 11 AM–6 PM to be eligible for Crystal Awards consideration.

Power & Electricity: Electricity is not guaranteed or included unless specifically arranged. Availability depends on mall infrastructure. Lack of access to power is not grounds for a refund.

Crystal Awards: Awards may be determined by independent judges, fan voting, or other announced judging criteria. GameACon does not guarantee an award or specific judging outcome.

III. FOR STEAM DIGITAL SHOWCASE PARTICIPANTS ($206)

Digital Listing Only: GameACon provides Steam Showcase listing and event block placement. We do not guarantee downloads, wishlists, sales, traffic, or other results. Once your game has been added to the Steam Showcase, the digital listing service is considered provided.

No Physical Space: This option is digital-only and does not include booth space, physical event placement, or on-site judging.

Technical Liability: GameACon is not responsible for Steam or Valve platform outages, technical issues, approval decisions, platform changes, or content rejection.

IV. FOR INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL PASS HOLDERS ($299)

Access Only: This pass provides entry to designated B2B Industry Day and creator-floor activities. GameACon does not guarantee any specific meeting, business connection, contact, employment opportunity, investment, or other result.

Non-Exhibiting: This pass is for networking and industry access only. It does not include exhibitor space or a Steam Showcase listing.
